Nancy O'Dell's professional career started in Myrtle Beach South Carolina as an anchor and news reporter for WPDE-TV. She later worked as morning news anchor and crime reporter at WCBD-TV. In Charleston O'Dell's reports regarding the police's lenient approach towards DUI cases caused a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that resulted in State authorities issuing an even more strict directive on these cases. Ms. O'Dell received an award for the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell's work in Charleston has led to her serving as co-anchor and investigative reporter and NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV. Prior to she joined Access Hollywood she was a co-anchor on weekdays as well as the weekend anchor for NBC. Her current position as host for Access Hollywood is complemented by her contributions to NBC News Today, Dateline NBC as well as NBC News. She co-hosted several of Pre-ShowArrivals programs for The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. Co-hosted the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
